It can be so easy to overcomplicate breathing techniques, when it comes to breathing for labour and birth it’s really important not to over think it, practise helps techniques become second nature, but also keeping it simple goes a long way too.

- Breathe in for four, pause for a moment, then out for more
- Breathe in a way that feels natural for you (nose/mouth)
- You can continue counting or just get into the flow and let the numbers go
- Starting with 2 mins practise a few times a day will help loads!
